Discharge of dangerous weapons.It is unlawful for any person to discharge any gun, pistol or firearm of any kind, or to discharge an air rifle or air pistol of any description, by whatever name known, that, by means of compressed air, compressed gas, springs, or any other means is capable of discharging shots, pellets, or any solid object at a velocity in excess of 300 feet per second, or discharges any cannon cracker or torpedo on or across any public square, street, or alley of the city or within 100 yards of any business or house within the city. (b)A gun shall include specifically, but not exclusively, any shotgun, pistol, rifle, air rifle, BB gun, bow and arrow and other mechanism that discharges or ejects any bullet, buckshot, or any other metallic object of any size by force of combustion, mechanism, or air gun.
