Tinius Olsen is proud to introduce the next evolution of Hardness Testers that encompass not just closed loop technology, but a variety of options that include CCD camera technology; automatic spindle movement in the Z direction; motorised X and Y direction stages/anvils; multiple indenter and objectives options; and powerful vision analysis firmware. These features all add up to support automatic test and measurements.

Tinius Olsen’s closed loop technology uses load cells in place of dead-weights which deliver real user benefits such as longer machine life, reduced footprint and increased repeatability. No weight handling mechanics vastly reduces wear and tear of mechanical parts, and significantly diminishes the chance of mechanical breakdown, so lowering typical maintenance costs.

The FH Hardness Tester range includes machines that dedicated, test scale specific testers, for testing Rockwell, Brinell, Micro Vickers, Knoop and Macro Vickers, or Universal testers that are capable of testing on multiple hardness scales.  Altogether, technology is driving the delivery of powerful and robust hardness testers; fully automated accurate and repeatable measurements and results reporting systems, designed for use in QC/QA environments by operators whose job is not just to run hardness tests but to ensure total quality.
