David answers your questions

DaveDavid graduated in Electrical, Electronic and Control Engineering from (what is now) Liverpool John Moores University in 1971. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.

David's early career took him through the ranks in retail sales of electrical goods, but he quickly found his calling using his engineering aptitude and sales skills when he joined Lloyd Instruments Ltd. David rose to Regional Sales Manager and eventually left Lloyds in 1986 to become General Sales Manager for Nene Instruments. David joined Hounsfield Test Equipment in 1989 and has continued his career in technical and engineering sales. Hounsfield Test Equipment Ltd., whose parent company was Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Company in the USA, changed their corporate and brand names to Tinius Olsen in 2003.

David is a firm believer in Education and Training both in his private and business life. He was instrumental in developing sales of Hounsfield machines into what was then considered an insignificant market; today the Educational market is one of the largest markets for Tinius Olsen in the UK.

With some 30 years experience in the Materials Testing Machine Industry, David has considerable (but still learning) practical experience which he is happy to share with others.
